Dixie Chicks

The Chicks got our Fall season underway today and started the season strong winning all 3 games in our annual Labor Day Round Robin Friendly at LC Bird High School. The weather was beautiful as temperatures were in the 70's for the first time in a long time here in town, as everyone knows we have been battling 90's and 100 degree days on a regular basis this whole Summer. We played nearly flawless defense and got some very solid pitching from all the pitchers. I was really pleased with the way we swung the bats also. We had some big hits at big times and that is what makes a great team. I do think we are going to get better also as we get more practice time and play more ballgames together. I'm really excited for the new season. We have practice next Sunday, Sept. 11 at 11:00 Midlothian High School to get ready for the ASA Heartland Showcase in Salem. I expect some tough competition.
