Dixie Chicks

Our Chicks travelled to the Pennsylvania for the Firecracker Tournament and represented the state of Virginia well. We went 6-1 for the weekend, received hardware for being bracket champion, won 1st place in the 14 & under team skills competition, Molly Hagy won the Home Run Derby, Brittany Blankenship received first team all-tournament team honors and Kristi Collins received 2nd team all-tournament team honors. We played like a team and not a bunch of individuals and it showed on and off the field. I was proud to be a part of a great performance like that. Thanks girls for a great time, see you at practice on Thursday at Watkins at 7:00 p.m. As always, GO CHICKS !!
