Dixie Chicks

Our Chicks finished the Summer Season with another 5-0 performance and shutting out the Va. Comets 8-0 in the Championship game of the NSA Dog Days Open in Richmond. The Chicks played great ball all year winning 5 of 7 tourneys and playing in the Championship game every tournament. We had one of our best seasons ever and will jump into the fire playing 18 & under this Fall and next Summer. I had a great time this season and I'm looking forward to more fun this Fall with all of the girls. Keep playing hard and as always, GO CHICKS !!

Our Chicks put on another impressive performance in the NSA World Series in Chattanooga Tenn. The Chicks went 7-2 and finished 2nd out of 67 teams. We got great team chemistry all week and all the parents and players had a great time. I know we wanted to win and claim the title of World Champion but 2nd is the farthest we have ever been and we can try again next year. I was proud of all the girls, they played their hearts out and just came up a little short. We play again August 20th-21st in Richmond. Practice will be Tuesday Aug. 16th at 6:00 p.m. at Midlothian High School. See you at practice, as always GO CHICKS !!

Our Chicks had another great weekend going 6-1-1 and winning the Championship in Pennsylvania over the same team we beat in the Va. State Championship Fire n Ice 8-5. It was a great game that went back and forth and ended with us on top. The Chicks are taking a week off then going to the Worlds the following weekend. The Chicks went 6-2 over the weekend and won the Queen of the Hill tournament at the Glen Allen Softball Complex. We are getting ready for Pennsylvania, so I will enter the stats for both tournaments when we get back. See you Friday in Pa. As always GO CHICKS !!

After a week off, the Chicks came ready to play and won the NSA State Championship 2-0 over a very good Fire & Ice team. The Chicks sticks were rolling this weekend outscoring its opponents 33-2 and going 5-0 for the weekend. We played great team ball all weekend but we had some individual awards for the team also. Amber Childress, Kelly Tsiptsis, Molly Hagy, and Morgan DiBello made the all-tournament team and Meghan Cobb won tournament MVP. Everyone contributed to the weekend and was very proud of every single girl on the team. It was a great weekend, let's keep it rolling for the rest of the year. As always, GO CHICKS !!
