The Chicks rolled into the beach on Saturday, played great ball all weekend and left on Sunday with the First place hardware and our winning streak intact. The Streak grew to 23 straight going 6-0 and beating the Hampton Roads Vipers 4-0 in the Gold Championship. I am proud of all the girls, they are really playing well. Let's keep it rolling at the States and see if we can bring another Championship back to Midlothian. As always, GO CHICKS !!
Our Chicks played great ball on Saturday, winning both pool games then getting rained out on Sunday. We got great pitching, flawless defense and some very timely hitting. Our Winning streak climbed to 17, carrying over from the fall season. We play next weekend in Chesapeake, Va. at Western Branch Sports Complex. I will send out the schedule as soon as I get it. Great job ladies, keep up the hard work and we will have a great season. As always, GO CHICKS !!
Our Chicks finish the Fall season winning another tournament in frigid conditions. Sunday's weather was a little warmer but Saturday was just cold! The Chicks went undefeated in the tourney and beat a very good Va. Batbusters team in the Championship 5-2. The Chicks finish the Fall with a 15 game unbeaten streak we will carry over with us in the Summer of 2007. I was really proud of how all the girls came together as a team and everybody contributed in all the success. I know the girls are looking forward to some time off, they have only been playing since February. But, I'm already bored with not playing and we haven't been finished ten minutes it seems like. We need to get everyone back healthy before next summer and see if we can stay healthy all season. I wish all the girls good luck with their school ball teams next year and I hope everyone has a great holiday season. I'll be making my way around the high school fields to try and see everyone play this spring, but don't forget most importantly you are still a Chick and the real ball starts in June. We will be going to a World Series somewhere next summer. We will have our team meeting in March sometime when we collect funds and get our Schedule for the year. I'll miss you all, as always GO CHICKS!!!
The Chicks went to Dorey Park this weekend and went 6-0 claiming the Halloween Cup. We had to play all six games on Sunday after getting washed out on Saturday. Our Chicks played really well and it was a total team effort. We beat a tough Richmond Diamonds team in the Championship 7-3. It is the best we have played the whole Fall Season and I'm really proud of all the young ladies. We have a nine game winning streak going, so let's go out and finish the season with six more wins next week. A fifteen game winning streak and winning the last three tournaments of the Fall would be a great way to end it. I'll send out the schedule for next weekend when I get it, should be by Wednesday. I hope everyone is back ready to play, we have some injuries we have to deal with but thats part of the game. We were short-handed last weekend and you never heard any excuses, everybody stepped up and we won. I've always said "excuses are for losers." I don't want to hear them and I never make them. I really like the way the team is coming together and I expect great things from you in the future. As always, GO CHICKS !!
Our Chicks were declared Champions in NC going 3-0 on Saturday and getting rained out on Sunday. We played three tough ball games and came out on top in all of them. I wish we could have played on Sunday but the fields were a mess and someone would have probably got hurt. We finish up this weekend in town, I should get the schedule by Wednesday. Stats will be up by the end of the week. Let's go out next weekend and win another tourney, as always GO CHICKS !!!
