Chicks Start Season in Williamsburg

The Chicks played in blistering conditions this past weekend in Williamsburg and went 4-1 finishing 3rd in the Colonial Invitational. We had a perfect Saturday winning all our pool games and seeding number 1 from our pool. We also won our quarter final game on Sunday then came up flat against Yorktown Revolution in the semi final. I thought it was a good showing for our first time out but as you know, I like winning tournaments and we need to work harder to finish strong. I expect us to get better the more we play. The stats will be up soon. See you at practice on Wednesday. As always, GO CHICKS !!!
Our Chicks went on the road this weekend and won our final fall tournament going 4-0 and beating the Lady Aces 5-1 in the late night Championship. We played good all day and night in pretty frigid conditions and proved we were the best team there. I was happy to see the team coming together and finishing the season strong. We finished our fall season with a 21-8 record with 2 Championships. I hope everyone has a great school ball season, I will be watching when I can. We will have our meeting for the upcoming Summer season in early March, where we will get our Summer Schedule and collect fees. Enjoy your off season and I hope Santa brings you all new toys. The Chicks got back on track this past weekend winning the Virginia Tech College Showcase Tournament in Salem, Va. The Chicks went 5-1 in the tourney, we beat some really good teams over the weekend and beat a good Richmond Storm team in the Championship 7-4. We played great ball all weekend and everybody contributed in winning the tournament. The weekend went great and I saw this team starting to come together. The girls looked like they were having fun and I saw a lot of smiles on their faces. Let's keep it rolling next tourney in Petersburg. The Stats will be up in a few days. As always, GO CHICKS !!
The Chicks played in the Fall Festival at Dorey Park this weekend and went 6-2. We played some good games but came up just a little short in a couple games. We still need to work on some things and we need to learn to finish tournaments. When you get chances early you need to put teams away and I think it will come. We need to keep improving every week. We should get a good test in Salem at the VT College Showcase in two weeks. Remember ladies, Be pushed by your dreams not led by your problems and always dream BIG. I will get the stats entered soon. The Chicks went 4-2 last weekend in our first Tournament of the Fall in Petersburg. We didn't play bad but we caught no breaks. We have some new faces this season and we need to learn how to finish out tournaments. We need someone to step up and get the big hit in a clutch spot. As a player, you should want to be in that spot.That's what it takes to win and that's why we play. We will keep working on getting better and getting everyone on the same page and I expect us to be just fine. We still need to add 2 players. See you at practice on Wed.
