Dixie Chicks

The Chicks headed to Va. Beach for a 4 day event and finish the long, hot 4 days with a 7-3 record. It was hot and humid every day. We had a tough week for injuries last weekend as most everyone was beat up by the time it was over. We played well at times but still are having our moments where we give outs away and at this level it will always cost you. We have a weekend off before we head to another big event in Va. Beach and then all we have left is Nationals in Myrtle Beach. I hope we get some bodies healthy before our last 2 events of the Summer. As always, GO CHICKS !!!

The Chicks put on quite a show hitting in Pa. We finished with a 6-2 record for the 3 days and scored 74 runs in the process. We lost in the semi finals to finish with a respectable 3rd place finish. We still have to work on getting better defensively and not giving teams extra outs. It was still a good weekend for the Chicks and we got to play a lot of ball. As always, GO CHICKS !!!

The Chicks got the Summer started and played well for the first time out. We had so many players missing for various reasons and had to bring up 5 from the 16u team and they played like they had been there forever. We got some great pitching and timely hitting from everyone. We need to concentrate on getting better every time out. I was really proud of everyone as all the girls from both teams seem to get along great and they treated us to some good softball. We play this weekend in Powhatan for State Championship. We will be going for 6th straight state title. Let’s go get it. As always, GO CHICKS !!!
