Three words your friends would use to describe you: "Determined, hardworking, passionate."

Strengths: "I'm a team player. I bring my best all the time. I throw the ball really hard."

Toughest opponent other than yourself: "Sheree Lamp [a travel squad teammate]."

I'm working to improve: "My rise ball."

If she had one wish: "To play ball for the rest of my life and not do anything else."

Possession you can't do without: "My glove"

What's on your iPod: "A little bit of everything."

Social network: "I don't have any. I want a Facebook page, but I'm too busy to keep up with it."

One thing about you most people don't know: "I had bowed legs when I was little. I had surgery to correct them. I probably couldn't have played if I hadn't had it."

Sports person you admire the most: Lisa Fernandez, retired from U.S. Olympic softball team.

Chicks finish season in Myrtle Beach

Posted by Allan Spencer at Nov 15, 2009 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The Chicks went on the road for the final time in 2009 to play in the Early Signing Showcase in Myrtle Beach SC. We went 5-1 for the weekend and did win our bracket and concluded our Fall Season at 25 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie. I was extremly proud of all the girls, they played hard all weekend and never quit and learned that the ball bounces funny for everybody sometimes. I'm already looking forward to next Summer and going back to Florida to claim those Championship rings. We will start Winter workouts in January to help you get ready for school ball and remember to hustle all the time on the field, someone is always watching. I will make it to as many High School games as I can to see you play this Spring. Final Stats are posted and they are quite impressive. I will miss everyone, enjoy your off season and as always GO CHICKS !!! image

Chicks stay unbeaten

Posted by Allan Spencer at Oct 31, 2009 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The Chicks travelled to Sterling this past weekend and stayed unbeaten going 1-0-1 in the East Coast Showcase. We didn't give up any runs in our games on Saturday but we did have a 0-0 tie in our first game. Our Sunday games were washed out by rain. I wished we would have got to play on Sunday because the bats were starting to heat up Saturday afternoon. We ran our fall record to 20-0-1 with just the Myrtle Beach Early Signing Showcase left. Stats are posted, as always GO CHICKS !!! image
